The San Pedro, Laguna Medical Society held its SPLMS Teen Congress last November 24, 2016 at the Function Hall of Casa del Niño Montessori School at Phase 6, Pacita Complex, San Pedro, Laguna with 9 schools participating. Several CDN Alumni Doctors were on hand to educate the attendees on the different diseases encountered by teenagers as well as promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle among the youth. It is adapted from the “Bulilit Congress” of the Philippine Medical Association which has similar goals but caters to younger students (Elementary Level). The Philippine Medical Association provided the modules used in the said activity.

Leading the team was CDN Alumnus Doctor Harvey Aguilar who came with Dr. Angelica Mae Hilario, Dr. Elarnie Carrios, Dr. Ricky Hipolito, Dr. Raquel Manalastas, Dr. Raquel Correa and two other CDN Alumni Physicians, Dr. Ryan Mortel and Dr. Bernadette Nepomuceno-Datu.

The congress was conducted through the help of Evangelista Medical Specialty Hospital.

Among the schools that attended the seminar were Adelina I National High School, Casa del Niño Science High School, Colegio de San Pedro Science High School, Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Mater Ecclesiae School, NBL Education System (formerly Catholic School of Pacita), San Lorenzo School, San Pedro Relocation Central National High School – Cuyab and Southville 3-A National High School.
